Our clients will no doubt be aware that England is now in another lockdown, currently due to last until 2nd December 2020. This places various restrictions upon us all.
We would like to reassure you that McNeil & Co will be continuing to operate as normal during the lockdown period. We will still be able to advise and represent you at the Police Station and at Court.
We will be working remotely where possible, but where that is not possible we will still be able to arrange face to face appointments.
Please continue to ask for McNeil & Co or one of our lawyers by name if you are arrested or are appearing at Court and require advice and representation.
You may also be wondering how the lockdown affects your obligations to attend Court or the Police Station. Fulfilling a legal obligation is one of the acceptable reasons for leaving your home, which means you will still be required to attend Court or the Police Station if required to do so (e.g. if you are on bail or have received a summons to attend Court). If you are experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus and/or are self-isolating then you should not attend, but should let us know as soon as possible so that we can try to assist you in having your matter moved.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
